W. Gereman SIG Sauer P226 Herndon-VA

W. German manufactured, assembled, and proofed SIG Sauer 9mm P226 imported through Herndon-VA. Serial # U167607 and date coded JH, this pistol was proofed in 1987 at the Kiel Proof House.

The markings under the front of the slide near the bore, from the top down, are the Kiel Proof House mark, followed by the Eagle-N mark, signifying that the firearm was proofed in W. Germany, and ending in the code for date of proofing.

The pistol has not in any way been modified. The slide, barrel, and frame all are stamped with matching serial number, and the black slim-line grip panels remain original.

No scalloped cuts along the rails to create the controversial so-called "mud rails."

No discernable wear on the exterior finish or internally. The frame at the trigger bar spring is free of any signs of wear and the bluing on the feed ramp shows no bullet tracking.

The bore is bright and the rifling sharp.

Comes with two original SIG OEM magazines and 5 quality Mec-Gar after-market magazines.

This early iteration of the P226 still in excellent condition is a fine example of West German manufacturing, assembly, and proofing.
