Vintage Antique Hamilton Model 51 Boys Rifle (.22 Short / Long) – Single Shot Bolt Action – Tight Lockup – 1930s

Description: For sale is a pre-WWII Hamilton Model 51 single-shot .22 rifle, manufactured in Plymouth, Michigan between 1935 and 1941. This was the classic "first rifle" for many American kids during the Depression era.

Condition & Features:

  • Action: Bolt action mechanism (the "No. 51" is the upgraded model with a steel barrel, unlike the earlier brass-lined Model 27).

  • Finish: Authentic grey patina consistent with its ~90-year age.

  • Stock (Character): The wood stock features unique vintage hand-carvings, including the initials "D.T.S.", arrows, and cross-hatching. It has a true "folk art" look that tells a story of its past life.

  • Markings: Clearly stamped "HAMILTON RIFLE CO. PLYMOUTH MICH. U.S.A. MODEL No 51".

Safety Note: This is being sold as a collectible / wall hanger. While the Model 51 is stronger than older Hamiltons, it was designed for standard velocity ammunition of the 1930s. It should be inspected by a gunsmith before any attempt to fire.
